Alone and Surrounded

This image is of a peaceful morning spent following moose tracks along the banks of Yellowstone Lake; it is not a magical moment but a quiet one. The lake water was so still that the clouds reflected in it like glass. The lone tree is how standing in nature feels, just out among the shrubs and oddly belonging in the endless horizon no matter which angle you look at yourself.
